We ordered our pizza to-go. They were super accommodating switching out red meat with pork sausages. The waiter was quick and responsive. The food was delicious. We devoured the pizza in minutes. I ordered the Italian pie combination 10 inch pizza. I also ordered the focaccia club. I don’t recommend it if you don’t like to crusty of a bread, but overall the flavor was delicious on the focaccia club.

We headed to The Original Italian Pie, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made all day. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed — exactly what we needed after being on our feet for hours. The staff greeted us like family and made sure we were taken care of right away, which I truly appreciated with hungry kids in tow. We ordered a pizza (of course), some pasta, and a few sides, and everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The crust was that perfect blend of crispy and chewy, the sauce was flavorful, and the cheese? Chef’s kiss. The kids devoured everything, which says a lot — even the picky one went back for seconds. We decided to try out The Pie because we were wanted pizza. It was great. Didn't get photos of salad or bread sticks, but they were very good. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent also. All toppings on the pizza were fresh (not canned or frozen before). I love the crust because I like it a little thin, but my husband does like it thicker.When I asked for extra sauce to dip my crust and bread stick, it came hot. The service was was excellent. Our waitress kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. Would recommend. They also have other locations in New Orleans.
Generally we order takeout but decided to go have a nice family dinner there. Love the dim lighting and everyone was nice. The pizza is always hot and fresh and generally loaded with toppings. Usually when we order takeout I'm flying home because it looks so delicious when it comes right out of the oven. Being we ate in able to eat it right out of the over was wonderful. I also had the French onion soup which was delicious as well. Favorite pizza spot in the Dell.
The lunch specials are wonderful. The salads that comes with lunch are a nice size and very fresh. The lasagna is a smaller portion than dinner but with the salad, bread (we paid the extra dollar for cheese bread which is a small cheese and garlic flavored pizza), and entree, we got very full and didn't need dinner thay night.
I had an exceptional dining experience at Italian Pie with Mein Papa. I ordered the Pizza and Salad. The personalized pizza that was a true delight - it had the perfect combination of pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and crumbly bacon. The pizza was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were simply mouthwatering. The Crust was so amazing. Absolutely my new favorite. The accompanying Ceasars salad was a pleasant surprise, adding a fresh and crisp element to the meal. The service we received was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made our visit even more enjoyable. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall charm of the place. Italian Pie on Gause Blvd. in Slidell, LA is one of our favorite places for lunch. No matter what meal you order, you get a very generous amount of food. The Spinach and Artichoke pizza is usually my wife's selection but today she ordered the Italian Salad. It's a nice size and very good. My one favorite is the Chicken Florentine Calzone. It's actually two meals because I normally take half home for another meal later. It's big and delicious. So tasty, you should try it! Our waitress was so friendly today. Cori was very attentive, she checked on us frequently. It made our meal that much more pleasant. If you have need for a private room they have a very spacious one you can use. The restaurant is very clean, no debris on the floor. For a nice lunch or dinner you won't go wrong going to Italian Pie on Gause Blvd. in Slidell, LA.
Great atmosphere, fast service, and the food was really good. We ordered the Mediterranean dip that comes with their amazing roasted red pepper, and hummus with their pita bread. We also ordered side caesar salads with their shrimp florentine gourmet calzone.
